Had a great visit to Shenandoah National Park to dedicate the Whiteoak Canyon into the Old-Growth Forest Network. Madison County has something here to be proud of. The park people I worked with were all wonderful....so were the media folks, here is a link to a very nice article about the event:

Save Stadium Woods!
A great group of people are working hard to save Stadium Woods - an old-growth forest on the campus of Virginia Tech. Every forest would benefit from having such a dedicated group speaking out to protect it. Here is a link to a newspaper article about it if you want to know more.
